Vineeta Singh was born in Delhi and she has completed her schooling from Delhi Public School, Delhi. A journey started, at the age of 17 when her professor suggested “You should be an entrepreneur”.
She completed her MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Ahmedabad after earning a B. Tech in electrical engineering from IIT Madras.
At 23, She moved to Mumbai after finishing her studies, rejecting all potential job offers. She was on a tight budget. For the first time, she questioned herself “had I taken the job, I wouldn’t be struggling.” She began running marathons, it helps to clear her mind.
After a year, she tried herself hand at entrepreneurship again with Fab Bag (2012), a beauty subscription service. However, after conducting research, she discovered a need for high-quality cosmetics in India, and thus SUGAR was born!
So, at times, she was managing office work like taking calls, working out, and pumping breast milk for son. She had many sleepless nights but she was passionate about her work. It paid off after a year–we were named the best lipstick brand!
